Run For The White House was inspired in January 2012 by all children who are currently fighting cancer. The mission of this virtual run is to "donate" 1 million miles or more by the end of September (Childhood Cancer Month) each year while raising awareness through social media outlets. Throughout the year, participants from across the country will add to the total miles and run for those who cannot.
My personal goal is to "run" the 213 miles from my home in Staten Island, NY to the White House by September 15th. This will culminate with the annual CureFest for Childhood Cancer in Washington, DC. I encourage you to #FollowMe and all those taking action against pediatric cancer by committing to the Run for the White House.
